One Dead, Child Among Five Injured in Baltimore Mass Shooting; Police Investigate

A mass shooting in Baltimore’s Park Heights neighborhood on Saturday evening has left one man dead and five others injured, including a 5-year-old girl, police confirmed. The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. in the area of Spaulding and Queensbury avenues, where six gunshot victims were discovered.
Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley stated that the victims included four men, a woman, and a young child. A 38-year-old man, initially found in critical condition, was pronounced dead Sunday morning. The 5-year-old girl, shot in the hand, is expected to recover. Other injured victims, aged 23, 32, 33, and 52, are also expected to survive.
Authorities believe the shooting, which targeted a group sitting outside on a porch and near a car, was not random. Homicide and District Detective units are actively investigating the incident, interviewing victims and witnesses to determine the motive. As of now, no suspects have been identified.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2100, or to submit anonymous tips via Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP or their website.
