US Rep. Cory Mills Under Active Investigation for Alleged Threats to Release Intimate Videos
U.S. Representative Cory Mills, a Republican from central Florida, is currently under investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) following accusations of threatening to release intimate videos and private images of a former romantic partner. The allegations were detailed in a report filed with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office last month, on July 14.
The woman, identified as a beauty pageant titleholder, claims that after she ended their relationship in February, Rep. Mills repeatedly contacted her, threatening to disseminate nude images and videos. She also alleges he threatened any future romantic partners.
Rep. Mills has vehemently denied these claims, stating, “These claims are false and misrepresent the nature of my interactions.” He further suggested the allegations are a politically motivated attack orchestrated by former political opponent Anthony Sabatini, who ran against him in the 2022 GOP primary. Mills affirmed his cooperation with the investigation and his focus on congressional duties.
No charges have been filed in the case, and the FDLE has confirmed it does not comment on active inquiries. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office initially forwarded the report to the state agency, which is now handling the ongoing inquiry.
