Jorma Taccone, known for his work with The Lonely Island and as an ‘SNL’ alum, is facing a lengthy recovery after sustaining severe injuries in a 20-foot fall at his Connecticut farmhouse. Taccone shattered his pelvis and detached his sacrum after falling from a ladder on August 31, an incident he recently recounted from his hospital bed during a podcast episode.

The comedian was attempting to hang lights around his barn when the accident occurred. Taccone, who had borrowed a ladder described as ‘bad’ by a neighbor, fell onto his back, experiencing a moment where he believed he might die. He is now two days post-surgery, with doctors estimating a three to six-month recovery period before he can walk again. Friends and co-hosts have expressed relief that his injuries were not more life-threatening.
