Apple is reportedly intensifying efforts on its next-generation Siri, collaborating directly with major third-party applications ahead of an anticipated launch as early as Spring 2026. This updated timeline follows an earlier delay, as Apple works to integrate new large language models with Siri’s existing framework.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is engaging with a select group of prominent app developers to prepare for the advanced App Intents system, which will enable deeper Siri integration and power Apple Intelligence features. The companies reportedly involved include Uber, AllTrails, Threads, Temu, Amazon, YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp. Gurman also indicates that testing has extended to a few games, alongside Apple’s own internal applications.

The upgraded Siri promises enhanced personal context understanding, onscreen awareness, and robust in-app actions, features currently under active development. Developers will be tasked with adopting the new App Intents system, in addition to preparing for Apple’s upcoming design changes in iOS 26. This collaboration period is crucial as Apple aims to roll out the refined voice assistant to the public through its developer beta program.
