A mass shooting in Northwest Baltimore late Saturday night left six people injured, including a 5-year-old girl and a 38-year-old man who remains in critical condition. Police responded just after 8:45 p.m. to the intersection of Spaulding and Queensbury avenues, where they found the victims with gunshot wounds.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley confirmed that the young girl was shot in the hand but is expected to make a full recovery, stating, “Thankfully, it doesn’t appear that her injury is very serious.” The other four victims, aged between 23 and 52, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are actively investigating the motive behind the attack. Commissioner Worley noted that it appeared the victims were simply sitting outside enjoying crabs when someone opened fire. Police are urging anyone with information to contact Baltimore police at 410-396-2455.
