Hey friend, guess what?! The NBA Finals are down to the wire, and it’s a CRAZY matchup. The Oklahoma City Thunder are just one win away from their first championship since moving to OKC! Can you believe it?

They’re currently up 3-2 against the Indiana Pacers, a team that’s already pulled off some miracle comebacks this postseason. Remember that Game 1 upset against the Knicks? Yeah, they did something similar against the Thunder in the Finals opener. But OKC’s stars, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams, are on fire. They exploded for a combined 71 points in Game 5 alone!

This is OKC’s first Finals appearance since 2012, and they’ve earned it. They dominated the regular season with 68 wins and have continued their strong play in the playoffs, boasting a 12-5 record so far. Shai’s having an MVP-caliber season, and he’s aiming to join the elite club of players who’ve won both the MVP and the championship in the same year – the last was Stephen Curry in 2015.

The Pacers’ road to the Finals has been equally impressive, beating the New York Knicks in six games after a thrilling series. This is their first Finals appearance since 2000, which makes their run even more remarkable. The postseason has been a wild ride, with many teams falling along the way. The Play-In Tournament saw the Kings, Mavericks, Bulls, and Hawks eliminated. Then we said goodbye to heavy hitters like the Grizzlies, Clippers, Lakers, Rockets, Heat, Bucks, Pistons, and Magic in the first round, and the Nuggets, Warriors, Cavaliers, and Celtics bowed out in the second round. The Timberwolves and Knicks had their impressive runs cut short in the Conference Finals.

So, where are we now? Game 6 is Thursday, June 19th at 8:30 PM on ABC/fubo. If the Pacers manage to win, a decisive Game 7 will follow on Sunday, June 22nd at 8 PM, also on ABC/fubo. It’s going to be intense!

I’ll keep you updated! This is too exciting to miss!
