Actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner, widely recognized for his role as Theo Huxtable on the iconic series ‘The Cosby Show,’ has tragically died at the age of 54. Authorities confirmed Warner drowned over the weekend while on holiday in Costa Rica.
According to Costa Rica’s Judicial Investigation Agency, Warner was swimming at Playa Grande in Cocles, Limón province, around 2:00 PM local time on Sunday when he was reportedly pulled out to sea by a strong ocean current. Bystanders managed to rescue him and bring him ashore, where the Costa Rican Red Cross attempted to provide treatment, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
