A massive fire on Wednesday, July 16, has severely damaged the main stage of Tomorrowland, one of the world’s largest electronic dance music festivals, just two days before its scheduled opening in Boom, Belgium. The blaze erupted at the festival grounds, with social media videos showing large flames engulfing the iconic stage and thick plumes of black smoke rising into the sky.

Festival organizers confirmed no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Despite the significant damage to the main stage, Tomorrowland officials announced that the festival’s campsite, DreamVille, is still set to open today, Thursday, July 17, as planned.

The festival, which attracts tens of thousands of music fans annually and features headliners like David Guetta, is slated to run from Friday, July 18, to Sunday, July 20. Organizers are ‘focused on finding solutions for the festival weekend’ and have pledged to provide more updates soon, assuring that all pre-festival activities in Brussels and Antwerp will proceed as scheduled.
