A significant statewide 911 outage has impacted emergency services across Pennsylvania, causing intermittent disruptions and prompting officials to advise residents on alternative contact methods. The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) Director, Randy Padfield, held a news conference to address the situation, urging individuals unable to reach 911 to use their local emergency centers’ non-emergency lines.

Counties provided specific non-emergency numbers, including Adams (717-334-8603), Berks (610-655-4911), Cumberland (717-238-9676), Dauphin (717-558-6900), Franklin (717-263-1611), Lancaster (717-664-1180 or 717-664-1190), Lebanon (717-708-2746), Mifflin (717-248-9645), Perry (717-582-4311), and York (717-854-5571). Residents were also encouraged to monitor county social media and websites for real-time updates.

PEMA has since announced that the statewide 911 system is gradually coming back online. Specifically, the Lancaster County Department of Public Safety has confirmed their 911 system is now operational and stable, advising residents to resume direct calls to 911 for emergencies, only using the non-emergency lines if initial attempts fail.
