Denis Villeneuve Confirmed to Direct New James Bond Film for Amazon MGM

Amazon MGM has officially announced that acclaimed director Denis Villeneuve will helm the next installment of the iconic James Bond franchise. The studio, which acquired the James Bond IP as part of its 2021 acquisition of MGM, revealed the news last night, marking a significant step forward for the highly anticipated new era of 007.

Villeneuve, known for his work on critically acclaimed films like ‘Blade Runner 2049,’ ‘Arrival,’ and the ‘Dune’ series, expressed profound excitement and responsibility for the project. “Some of my earliest movie-going memories are connected to 007,” Villeneuve stated in a press release. “I intend to honor the tradition and open the path for many new missions to come.
