As the high-profile sex-trafficking trial involving Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs nears its conclusion, prosecutors have presented their closing arguments, bringing to light alleged attempts to conceal a 2016 assault on Cassie Ventura. Prosecutor Christy Slavik meticulously outlined the sequence of events, focusing on a significant financial transaction aimed at suppressing evidence.

Slavik reminded jurors of the infamous CCTV footage from an LA hotel lobby in 2016, which depicted Combs assaulting his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. Following the incident, which left Ventura with visible injuries, the prosecution claims Combs immediately moved into damage control.

The court heard how Combs allegedly first offered a ‘stack of money’ to security guard Israel Flores to keep the incident quiet. When this failed, his former chief of staff, Kristina Khorram, and bodyguard D-Rock reportedly ‘sprang into action,’ making repeated attempts to acquire the assault video from the hotel.

Despite initial resistance from hotel security, Khorram eventually obtained the personal number of officer Eddie Garcia. It was through a call from Combs himself that Garcia testified to receiving a substantial $100,000 payment for the video, along with being compelled to sign a non-disclosure agreement. This alleged payout forms a critical component of the prosecution’s bribery claims, as they seek to connect the dots in their broader case against Combs.
