Sean “Diddy” Combs is scheduled for sentencing today, October 3, 2025, following his conviction on charges of transportation to engage in prostitution. The high-profile court date comes just one day after his former girlfriend, Virginia Huynh, publicly pushed back against prosecutors’ claims that she was sex trafficked or involved in prostitution, sending a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian.

Huynh, identified as “Victim 3” in the indictment and “Gina” during the trial, stated in her letter that she was “pressured to feel like a victim” by prosecutors and believes Combs should be released to his family. “I told them I was not but they insisted that I was, even when I expressed my truth otherwise,” Huynh wrote. She explicitly denied being trafficked or engaging in prostitution with Combs or others, contradicting the prosecution’s conclusions.

Prosecutors had initially planned to call Huynh as a witness during Combs’ trial this summer but later reported being unable to reach her. Other witnesses, however, testified about her relationship with Combs and alleged instances of violence in 2015. This recent letter echoes an earlier request Huynh made in August, after Combs’ conviction, for his release, arguing he was no longer violent and deserved to be with his family.

Combs’ court submission also includes letters of support from various individuals, including Miles Guo, an exiled Chinese billionaire who shared time with Combs at the Metropolitan Detention Center. Guo described Combs as a “very kind, sensitive, and genius person” and mentioned plans for an AI platform collaboration.

In July, a jury found Combs guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution concerning his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and another ex-girlfriend, “Jane.” He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and charges of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion related to Ventura and “Jane.”

Federal prosecutors are seeking at least 11 years in prison for Combs, who has been in custody since September 2024. His attorneys are pushing for time served. Combs is expected to address the court in a “dignified and respectful fashion” during today’s sentencing.
