Amazon Unveils 2025 Fire TV Lineup: Faster Sticks, Brighter Omni QLED TVs, and New Vega OS

Amazon has officially launched its 2025 device lineup, introducing a range of new Fire TV sets and the highly anticipated Fire TV Stick 4K Select. The company aims to enhance its competitive edge in the streaming device market with faster performance and improved display technologies.

Headlining the new offerings is the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, which Amazon touts as the “fastest streaming stick under $40.” A significant change for this device is its adoption of the new Linux-based Vega OS, replacing the previous Android Fire TV software, a move likely contributing to its accessible price point.

For those seeking a premium viewing experience, the Fire TV Omni QLED Series returns with substantial upgrades. Starting at $480 for the 50-inch model, these new sets boast 60 percent better brightness, nearly double the local dimming zones for superior contrast, and a processor that is over 40 percent faster. The Omni series also includes adaptive settings that automatically adjust to room lighting changes.

Amazon also updated its more budget-friendly Fire TV 2-series and 4-series, which are now 30 percent faster than their predecessors, starting at $160 and $330, respectively. All new Fire TV sets feature a new Dialog Boost option for clearer audio and Omnisense, which can automatically power on the TV when someone enters the room.

These new Fire TV devices are designed to integrate seamlessly with Amazon’s ecosystem, including the Alexa+ subscription service. This allows users to leverage AI benefits for content discovery, actor information, and direct access to streaming services like Netflix through voice commands.
