Hey friend, you won’t believe what’s happening in Minnesota. It’s a really serious situation.

There’s a massive manhunt underway for Vance Boelter, a 57-year-old man accused of fatally shooting Democratic state Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband. State Senator John Hoffman and his wife were also shot and seriously injured in what Governor Tim Walz is calling a “politically motivated assassination.”

The attacks are absolutely devastating. The whole state is on edge. The suspect apparently left behind a list with “several dozen names,” including politicians and non-politicians, according to sources close to the investigation. This makes the situation even more terrifying.

Authorities have found Boelter’s vehicle in Sibley County and issued an emergency alert urging residents to lock their doors and secure their vehicles. They’re even going door-to-door searching homes. Senator Amy Klobuchar confirmed that the authorities believe he’s still in the Midwest, possibly in Minnesota or South Dakota.

It’s chilling to hear that a friend of Boelter’s shared some disturbing text messages Boelter sent earlier that day. The messages expressed love and apologies, and hinted at his own impending death. This friend was so shaken up he immediately contacted the authorities.

The friend, David Carlson, described Boelter as having many friends and being someone who wouldn’t usually be suspected of such violence. While Carlson mentioned Boelter supported President Trump, he was unaware of his friend’s stance on local politicians.

The investigation is ongoing, and everyone is hoping for a swift resolution. It’s a deeply tragic situation, and the whole country is holding its breath.
