New reports have shed light on the identities of the three men shot during a recent deadly assault on a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas. The FBI has characterized the incident as a “targeted attack” by 29-year-old Joshua Jahn.

Among the injured are Miguel Angel García-Hernandez of Mexico and Jose Andres Bordones-Molina of Venezuela. Tragically, Norlan Guzman-Fuentes of El Salvador was fatally shot. While federal authorities have yet to publicly confirm all identities, several news outlets, including the New York Times and Univision, have corroborated these details.

García-Hernandez, a father of four and undocumented house painter who has resided in the US for two decades, is reportedly in critical condition after being shot multiple times. His family, including his brother who is also navigating immigration proceedings, is seeking legal counsel and has launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover expenses, particularly with a new baby on the way. They are also advocating for his recently deported mother to be allowed to visit him.

Bordones-Molina, also undocumented, has a prior record including a traffic violation and a property-related offense. Guzman-Fuentes, the deceased victim, had previous arrests for various offenses including battery and aggravated assault.

Authorities indicate that the shooter, Joshua Jahn of Fairview, Texas, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, did not intend to harm detainees, according to notes found. These notes detailed a “game plan” for the attack and targeted areas, with Jahn referring to ICE employees as “people showing up to collect a dirty paycheck.”

The incident has sparked political reactions, with figures like Donald Trump attributing blame to “Radical Left Terrorists” and the Democratic party, despite a lack of official evidence regarding the suspect’s affiliations or motives.
