ROG Xbox Ally X Officially Priced at $1,000; Pre-Orders Live Ahead of October 16 Global Launch
Microsoft has officially unveiled the pricing for its highly anticipated ROG Xbox Ally handheld gaming consoles, with pre-orders now available worldwide. The premium ROG Xbox Ally X, touted as the “ultimate high-performance handheld,” will retail for $1,000.
For those seeking a more accessible option, the standard ROG Xbox Ally, designed for a broader range of players, is priced at $600. Both models are now open for pre-order through the Xbox website, ASUS’ website, and major retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart, ahead of their global launch on October 16.
Developed in collaboration with ASUS’ ROG division, these Windows 11-powered devices allow users to play purchased Xbox and PC games directly, stream Xbox titles from their console or Xbox Cloud Gaming, and seamlessly switch between devices. Thousands of games will be marked as “Handheld Optimized” or “Mostly Compatible” at launch to guide players on performance. Alongside the consoles, dedicated SanDisk microSD cards and SeaGate SSDs supporting Microsoft DirectStorage are also available for pre-order.
The October 16 launch will include numerous markets globally, such as the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Japan, and most of Europe, with additional regions to follow.
