The U.S. Secret Service, in coordination with Glendale, Arizona, law enforcement, detained an armed individual exhibiting suspicious behavior at State Farm Stadium. The incident occurred Friday and Saturday, just hours before Charlie Kirk’s high-profile memorial service, which is scheduled to draw an estimated 100,000 attendees and feature former President Donald Trump and Senator J.D. Vance.

According to reports, the man, identified as a former Idaho deputy sheriff, was found inside the facility armed with a gun and a knife. He claimed to be providing private security and presented inactive law enforcement credentials to agents. Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi confirmed the individual was taken into custody after being observed exhibiting suspicious behavior prior to the setup of the event’s secure perimeter.
