Following Apple’s highly anticipated event today, we’ve had the opportunity for an exclusive hands-on experience with the entire new Apple Watch range: the Series 11, the Ultra 3, and the refreshed SE 3.
The entry-level Apple Watch SE 3, starting at $249 for the 40mm model, receives significant enhancements. It now supports faster 5G cellular speeds, boasts twice-as-fast charging, and offers an improved battery life of up to 18 hours. Key new features include Apple’s more scratch-resistant Ion-X glass, an always-on display (a first for the SE line), sleep apnea detection, and the ability to play music and podcasts directly through its speaker. Remarkably, in person, the SE 3 feels strikingly similar to the Series 11, a significant value proposition given its accessible price point.
The Apple Watch Series 11 also benefits from the 5G cellular upgrade, along with new health features like sleep score tracking and notifications for potential high blood pressure. Battery life extends to 24 hours, and it features the stronger Ion-X glass.
