Following the highly anticipated Powerball drawing on Monday night, lottery enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting news on whether the estimated $750 million jackpot, the 10th largest in Powerball history, found a winner. The cash value for the colossal prize stood at $338.6 million.

This drawing marked the 37th since the jackpot was last claimed on May 31 in California. While the odds of hitting all six numbers are a staggering 1 in 292.2 million, the excitement generated by such a massive prize often leads to a surge in ticket sales, with a portion benefiting local community programs and services.

Even if no one secured the grand prize, previous drawings have seen significant wins. For instance, in the most recent drawing leading up to Monday, two tickets, one in New York and another in Maine, matched five numbers to win $1 million each. A third winner in South Dakota doubled their prize to $2 million by also opting for the Power Play option.

Winners of such a substantial jackpot have the choice between periodic payments totaling the advertised amount or a one-time lump sum payment. The last Powerball jackpot winner, announced in June, claimed $204.5 million from a ticket sold in Arleta, California, continuing a trend of Southern California producing multiple major Powerball winners this year.
