A massive FBI investigation in Washington state, focused on the area where Travis Decker’s three young daughters were found dead, is nearing its scheduled conclusion, with authorities reporting no new evidence regarding the fugitive father’s whereabouts. On August 25, Peter Orth, supervisory senior resident agent for the FBI Seattle field office, informed reporters that investigators have no indication whether Decker, wanted for the murders of Olivia, Paityn, and Evelyn, is alive or deceased.

For nearly a week, over 100 FBI personnel have meticulously combed a quarter-mile radius around the crime scene near Leavenworth. This extensive operation led to the closure of several campgrounds, including the Rock Island Campground where the girls’ bodies were discovered in June, and surrounding roads and trails. The U.S. Forest Service had announced these closures began Sunday and would remain in effect until Wednesday at approximately 6 a.m., meaning the search is still active through August 26.

The renewed search comes nearly three months after the tragic discovery of 5-year-old Olivia, 9-year-old Paityn, and 8-year-old Evelyn Decker, who vanished after a scheduled visitation with their father on May 30. Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison reiterated the commitment to finding Decker, stating, “We will not relent. We will not give up. The girls would not want us to give up.”

Decker, a 32-year-old Army veteran, remains the sole suspect and is considered armed and dangerous. He is wanted on three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of kidnapping. The U.S. Marshals Service continues to offer a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to his arrest. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact 911 immediately and not to approach Decker.
