New Apple Device Details Surface from Leaked Software Identifiers

Recent accidental software tool releases by Apple have inadvertently unveiled identifiers for a range of upcoming devices and chips. According to MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris, the pulled software contained references to new models of the Studio Display, Apple TV, Apple Watches, Apple Vision Pro, iPad mini, and HomePod mini, among others.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in his latest Power On newsletter, confirmed many of these findings. Gurman’s insights corroborate previous reports, indicating that refreshed Apple TV and HomePod mini models are expected to launch this fall, with new iPads slated for next year, and updated monitors also in development.
Regarding the Apple Vision Pro, Gurman noted that while the leaked code pointed to an M5 chip, he continues to hear that Apple is actively testing versions of the headset equipped with the M4 chip. He suggested that Apple might be considering both options, implying that the next Vision Pro iteration will feature at least an M4 chip, representing a minor but significant upgrade from the current M2 chip.
