Nintendo has officially announced the upcoming release of ‘Hello, Mario!’, a new free mobile application set to debut on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. This interactive app allows children to playfully manipulate Mario’s face, reminiscent of the iconic Super Mario 64 title screen, and will be available for download starting August 26th.

The app’s launch coincides with the debut of Nintendo’s ‘My Mario’ collection, a new line of Mario-themed products specifically designed for kids and toddlers. This collection includes a variety of items such as plush toys, child-safe dinnerware, teething toys, apparel, and an interactive board book. A highlight of the collection is a pair of wooden building block sets, with the larger 30-piece set featuring functional Amiibo capabilities for characters like Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi.

Initially, both the ‘Hello, Mario!’ app and the ‘My Mario’ collection will be available in Nintendo’s Japanese stores across Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto from August 26th. While Nintendo has not yet confirmed an English version of the app, some items from the ‘My Mario’ collection are anticipated to see broader international availability next year.
