DJI has officially announced the Osmo Nano, its most compact and lightweight action camera to date, following recent leaks. The new device boasts a 1 / 1.3-inch sensor with 13.5 stops of dynamic range and 4K / 120fps recording capabilities, mirroring the performance of the company’s flagship Osmo Action 5 Pro.

The Osmo Nano distinguishes itself with a modular design, requiring its Multifunctional Vision Dock for a screen or extended battery life. A standout feature allows users to initiate recording by gently patting the camera or simply nodding their head when worn on a hat or helmet, offering hands-free operation.

Globally launching on September 23rd, the Osmo Nano will not be immediately available on official DJI websites in the U.S. market. DJI spokesperson Daisy Kong stated the company is optimizing its strategy for the U.S. amid evolving local conditions. Pricing for the 64GB version starts at $309 USD in Canada, £239 in the UK, and €279 in parts of Europe, with a 128GB version also available for a slightly higher price.

Weighing just 52 grams and featuring a pill-shaped design, the Osmo Nano is significantly lighter and smaller than its predecessors. It offers 55-60 minutes of 4K/30fps recording, extending to 125-135 minutes with the dock. The camera is waterproof up to 10 meters, while the dock carries an IPX4 splash resistance rating.
