Actress and film producer Kelley Mack, known for her roles in hit series such as “The Walking Dead” and “Chicago Med,” has passed away at the age of 33. Her agent, Julie Smith, confirmed the news to USA TODAY on August 5.

Mack, born Kelley Lynne Klebenow, died on August 2 in her hometown of Cincinnati following a courageous battle with glioma of the central nervous system, a type of brain tumor. She appeared as Addy in Season 9 of “The Walking Dead” and Penelope Jacobs in Season 8 of “Chicago Med.”

Her sister, Kathryn Klebenow, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, noting that Mack “passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present.” The family plans to hold a recognition and remembrance ceremony for Kelley’s life in Glendale, Ohio, on August 16, with a celebration of life also planned for Los Angeles at a later date.
