Manhunt Underway After Couple Fatally Attacked in Arkansas State Park
A massive police manhunt is currently underway in Arkansas following the horrific discovery of a married couple found dead in Devil’s Den State Park. Authorities are actively searching for a suspect in the brutal weekend attack that left Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, deceased on a walking trail.
The couple’s two young daughters, aged 7 and 9, were present during the incident but were unharmed and are now with family. Arkansas State Police believe the suspect may have fled the rugged 2,500-acre park, known for its weak cellphone service, in a black, four-door sedan with a partially covered license plate. The vehicle, possibly a Mazda, was last seen heading towards a park exit, potentially on State Highway 170 or 220.
Officials describe the suspect as a white male wearing dark shorts, a dark ball cap, sunglasses, and fingerless gloves. While a motive has not been released, the Brink family issued a heartfelt statement, saying, “Clinton and Cristen died heroes protecting their little girls, and they deserve justice. They will forever live in all of our hearts.”
The FBI’s Little Rock field office is assisting state police in the investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information, especially those who may have captured photos or videos at the park, to come forward. Devil’s Den State Park, located near West Fork, remains largely closed with increased ranger patrols as the investigation continues. Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has condemned the deaths as “horrific” and vowed that law enforcement will relentlessly pursue justice.
