Manhunt Underway: Arkansas Police Release New Suspect Details in Devil’s Den Double Murder

Arkansas State Police are intensifying their search for a suspect involved in the tragic double murder of a couple hiking with their children at Devil’s Den State Park. Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, were identified as the victims of the July 26 attack. Their two young children, aged 7 and 9, were unharmed and are now with relatives.
Authorities have released an updated description of the assailant, urging public vigilance. The suspect is described as a white man with a medium build, wearing a long-sleeved shirt with rolled-up sleeves, dark pants, a dark baseball cap, sunglasses, and fingerless gloves. He was also seen with a black backpack and driving a black, four-door sedan, possibly a Mazda, with a potentially obscured license plate, heading towards a park exit.
The incident occurred in a remote and rugged area with no cellphone service. Police are actively seeking information and have asked anyone who was in Devil’s Den State Park on Saturday, July 26, to review their cellphone photos and videos for any potential sightings of the suspect. Residents in the vicinity are also requested to check security and surveillance footage. Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact Arkansas State Police immediately at 479-751-6663.
The Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism expressed deep sorrow over the events and assured the public of an increased law enforcement presence in state parks to ensure visitor and staff safety as the investigation continues.
