Manhunt Intensifies After Couple Killed in Arkansas’ Devil’s Den State Park
Arkansas State Police are leading an urgent manhunt for a suspect following the brutal double homicide of a couple hiking with their two young daughters in Devil’s Den State Park. Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, were found deceased on a park trail, their deaths officially ruled a double homicide.
The couple’s daughters, aged 7 and 9, were found unharmed and are now safely with family members. The incident unfolded in a rugged, remote section of the park known for thick vegetation and no cellphone service, making the search challenging for authorities.
Police have issued a description of the suspect: a medium-build White male, last seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt (sleeves rolled up), dark pants, a dark ballcap, fingerless gloves, and sunglasses, carrying a black backpack. He was reportedly driving a black, four-door sedan, possibly a Mazda, with a license plate obscured by tape, seen heading towards a park exit.
In response to the tragedy, Devil’s Den State Park has been closed indefinitely, and Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has vowed increased law enforcement presence across all Arkansas state parks. Investigators are urging anyone who visited the park recently to review photos and videos for potential leads and for local residents to check security and game camera footage, cautioning against sharing information on social media to avoid compromising the ongoing investigation.
