Manhunt Underway After Tragic Double Homicide Rocks Arkansas State Park

A massive manhunt is actively underway in Northwest Arkansas following the brutal murder of a couple, Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, who were slain while hiking with their school-age daughters in Devil’s Den State Park over the weekend. The Arkansas State Police confirmed the double homicide, which occurred on a remote walking trail, has prompted a widespread search for the perpetrator.

Authorities were alerted to the incident shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday. The victims, who had recently relocated to Prairie Grove from out of state, were found deceased. Their daughters, aged 7 and 9, were unharmed and are now safely with family members, though it remains unclear if they witnessed the horrific event.

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders expressed her heartbreak on X, vowing that “law enforcement will not rest” until the killer is apprehended and prosecuted. Investigators have released a description of the suspect: a man of medium build, wearing a dark, long-sleeved shirt with rolled-up sleeves, dark pants, a dark baseball cap, and fingerless gloves. He may have been seen driving a black sedan, possibly a Mazda, with its license plate obscured by tape, potentially on State Highway 170 or State Highway 220.

The area of the park where the homicides occurred remains off-limits as the investigation intensifies, with all trails at Devil’s Den closed until further notice. State police are urging anyone who was at the park on Saturday with cellphone or GoPro-style imagery to come forward, hoping digital evidence will help crack the case. The Arkansas State Crime Lab will determine the official manner and cause of death as detectives work tirelessly to bring justice to the victims and their family.
