Apple News+ Unveils New ‘Emoji Game’ Puzzle on World Emoji Day

Apple has officially launched a new daily puzzle game, ‘Emoji Game,’ available now for Apple News+ subscribers in the U.S. and Canada. Coinciding with World Emoji Day, the game offers a fresh take on word puzzles, challenging players to complete phrases by dragging relevant emojis into blank spaces.

Developed internally by Apple, ‘Emoji Game’ joins the existing suite of puzzles on Apple News+, which includes Crossword, Mini Crossword, Sudoku, and Quartiles. This new addition is designed with iOS features in mind, even integrating iOS 18’s Genmoji feature for unique puzzle elements.

Mirroring the popular daily format of games like Wordle, ‘Emoji Game’ provides a new puzzle each day, along with an archive dating back to July 1. Players can track stats and streaks, and engage in social features allowing up to 16 people to compete for high scores. The core objective, similar to Wordle, is to solve puzzles within six turns, offering another engaging daily distraction for current Apple News+ subscribers.
