Hey friend, remember that Salt Lake City protest shooting? A new video just surfaced, and it’s raising some serious questions about the official account of what happened.

The shooting occurred during the “No Kings” march. A volunteer peacekeeper, who was there to help keep the peace, ended up shooting and killing a bystander, Afa Ah Loo, while also wounding the suspect, Arturo Gamboa. Gamboa was carrying an AR-15 style rifle.

This new video, obtained by FOX 13, shows a different perspective. It shows Gamboa running behind a fence, seemingly putting down his rifle. A peacekeeper in yellow spots him, contacts someone, and then, along with another volunteer, approaches Gamboa with their pistols drawn. The video then shows a muzzle flash, the peacekeeper firing his weapon.

Here’s where it gets interesting. The police’s initial report said Gamboa lifted his rifle and ran towards the crowd, aiming to fire. But this new video seems to contradict that. It appears Gamboa’s rifle was pointed down, and he only started running *after* the peacekeeper started shooting.

The video doesn’t show Gamboa firing his weapon at all. Even though he’s been arrested on suspicion of Ah Loo’s murder – the police arguing his actions *caused* the death – he hasn’t been formally charged yet. The whole situation is incredibly complex and raises serious questions about the use of force by the peacekeepers and the accuracy of the initial police report.

It’s a pretty wild situation, and this new video evidence is definitely going to change how we understand what happened that day. Let me know what you think!
