Forget cryptic online whispers; the Google Pixel 10’s big reveal might have just happened on the streets of Vancouver. A seemingly accidental leak, spotted by @MarksGonePublic and shared via 9to5Google, shows a full-blown commercial shoot for the upcoming flagship phone.

The evidence? Storyboards clearly displaying “Pixel 10,” along with camera hardware suggesting a Pixel 10 Pro or even a Pro XL model. The footage reveals a surprisingly large film crew – a macro probe lens, a Panavision rig, and more than twenty crew members – all to capture footage of someone… holding a phone. The irony? A tagline glimpsed in the leak encourages users to “ask more of your phone.”

While the leak doesn’t offer a complete design overhaul – the phone’s appearance seems similar to the Pixel 9 series – it does reaffirm the continued focus on photography and AI features. Previous rumors suggest potential trade-offs: the standard Pixel 10 might gain a third rear camera, but with reduced capabilities in the other sensors, possibly to manage costs.

Pricing remains a mystery, but separate leaks hint at similar pricing to the Pixel 9 series, with the possible exception of a more expensive Pixel 10 Pro XL and a potential price reduction for a Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The latter, as our Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold review highlighted, initially launched at a hefty $1,799 / £1,799 / AU $2,699.

Given the Pixel 9 series launch date of August 22nd, 2024, we can anticipate a similar timeframe for the Pixel 10 unveiling. This unexpected Vancouver leak offers a tantalizing glimpse into Google’s upcoming flagship, leaving us eagerly awaiting the official launch.
