The Powerball jackpot has surged to an estimated $1.1 billion, marking the fifth-largest prize in the game’s history. This monumental increase follows Saturday night’s drawing, which saw no winning tickets match all six numbers for the $1 billion grand prize.

While no one claimed the top prize, nine tickets successfully matched all five white balls, securing $1 million each. The winning numbers for Saturday were 3, 18, 22, 27, and 33, with a Powerball of 17.

The eagerly anticipated $1.1 billion jackpot for Monday night’s drawing carries an estimated cash value of $498.4 million. A single winner on Monday would face the choice between a lump sum payment of $498.4 million before taxes or an annuity option, which includes an immediate payment followed by 29 escalating annual payments.

This marks the sixth time in Powerball’s 33-year history that the top prize has crossed the billion-dollar threshold. The last jackpot winner was on May 31, when a California ticket claimed $204.5 million. Tickets for the next drawing, held live from Tallahassee, Florida, are available for $2 in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
