Asus Unveils ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W, Setting New Speed Record with 720Hz Tandem OLED Monitor

Asus has just disrupted the high-end gaming monitor market with the announcement of its ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W at Gamescom 2025. This new flagship display is poised to become a top contender for esports enthusiasts, boasting a stunning 26.5-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD OLED screen with an astonishing 540Hz refresh rate. What truly sets it apart is its dual-mode capability, allowing users to switch to an unprecedented 720Hz refresh rate when scaling down to 1080p resolution.

While other brands have announced high-refresh-rate monitors, Asus differentiates itself by combining extreme speed with superior visual fidelity. Unlike competitors relying on TN panels, the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W features a tandem OLED panel, promising significantly boosted HDR brightness, improved lifespan, and richer colors thanks to a glossy coating designed to minimize glare. The monitor also sports a distinctive silver and translucent design, moving away from conventional black frames.
