Austin Robert Drummond, the 28-year-old suspect in a quadruple killing that rocked Lake County, Tennessee, has been captured after a week-long manhunt. Drummond was taken into custody on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in Jackson, Tennessee, following crucial tips from community residents.

The arrest was a direct result of public cooperation, according to law enforcement officials. David Rausch, director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, praised the effort, stating, “This is a perfect example of police and community cooperation.” Jackson Police Chief Thom Corley added that residents spotted Drummond near a vacant building, leading officers to surround the area and apprehend him swiftly at 9:05 a.m.

Drummond is accused of the July 29 murders of Cortney Rose, 38; her children, Adrianna Williams, 20, and Braydon Williams, 15; and Adrianna’s boyfriend, James “Michael” Wilson, 21. Authorities also stated that Wilson and Williams’ baby was left in a car seat in a “random individual’s front yard” in Dyer County on the same day. While Drummond was unarmed at the time of his arrest, police have since recovered several firearms, which will be analyzed for their connection to the homicides.

He faces multiple charges, including four counts of first-degree murder, one count of aggravated kidnapping, and several firearm-related offenses. A reward of up to $30,000 had been offered for information leading to his arrest, which will likely be shared among those whose 911 calls led to his capture. Four other individuals have also been arrested as accessories after the fact in connection with the homicides.
