Lexus is making a significant shift for its 2026 LC lineup, confirming the discontinuation of the LC 500h hybrid model. Enthusiasts can rejoice as the brand doubles down on its potent 5.0-liter V8 engine, which will now be the sole powertrain option for the luxury coupe.

The returning LC 500 boasts a formidable 471 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque, enabling a 0-60 mph sprint in just 4.4 seconds. While sacrificing some fuel efficiency, this move solidifies the LC’s position as a performance-focused grand tourer.

In further exciting news, Lexus is reintroducing the highly anticipated Inspiration Series for 2026, available in both coupe and convertible forms. Limited to 200 coupes and 350 roadsters in North America, these exclusive models feature distinctive Smoke Matte Gray (coupe) and Wind (roadster) exteriors, carbon fiber accents, unique 21-inch wheels, and a luxurious black and white interior with serialized badging.

The 2026 Lexus LC 500 Coupe and Convertible, including the special Inspiration Series, are slated to arrive at US dealerships this fall. Pricing begins at $101,700 for the coupe and $109,200 for the convertible, both figures inclusive of destination fees.
