AMD’s highly anticipated Zen 5-based Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9000 WX-Series of CPUs are set to hit the market starting July 23rd, with the top-tier 96-core model commanding a price tag of $11,699. Designed specifically for demanding workstation environments, these new processors promise significant performance boosts for professionals.

The flagship Threadripper Pro 9995WX, featuring an impressive 96 cores and 192 threads, will be available for shipment on July 23rd. Major PC manufacturers including Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Supermicro will begin offering high-end workstations equipped with these new Threadripper 9000 series chips on the same day. DIY builders will also be able to purchase the processors via AMD’s channel partners.

Beyond the top-end model, AMD is rolling out several other powerful options: the 64-core Threadripper Pro 9985WX for $7,999, the 32-core 9975WX at $4,099, the 24-core 9965WX for $2,899, and the 9955WX for $1,649. All five new processors are engineered to deliver superior speed in professional rendering applications like Chaos V-Ray and Adobe After Effects.

Crucially, the Pro 9000 WX-Series processors are optimized for local AI deployments, including fine-tuning models, inference, and AI application development. AMD claims a substantial 49 percent performance advantage over Intel in context-based prompting inference tests using DeepSeek R1 32B, underscoring their capability for cutting-edge AI workloads.
