A Ukrainian F-16 fighter pilot tragically died on Sunday while defending against a massive Russian air attack, which saw hundreds of drones, cruise, and ballistic missiles launched across the country. According to the Ukrainian military, Russia unleashed a staggering 477 drones and 60 missiles overnight, with Ukrainian forces intercepting 211 drones and 38 missiles. Zelenskiy stated on X that Russia had launched approximately 114 missiles, 1,270 drones, and 1,100 glide bombs in the past week alone, emphasizing that “Moscow will not stop as long as it has the capability to launch massive strikes.”

The recent barrages highlight the critical need for renewed military aid from the United States, particularly for Patriot missile batteries, a request Zelenskiy discussed with former President Donald Trump at a recent NATO summit.
