Speaking in an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo that aired Sunday, Trump declared, ‘if he does get in, I’m going to be president and he’s going to have to do the right thing, or they’re not getting any money.’ The President reiterated his demand, emphasizing, ‘He’s got to do the right thing.’

This latest threat follows a pattern of President Trump using federal funding as leverage against local politicians, particularly those in states or cities with opposing political views.
