The high-profile sex trafficking trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs is poised for jury deliberations, following the conclusion of the defense’s closing arguments on Friday. Combs’ legal team vehemently denied allegations of him leading a criminal enterprise, instead portraying the 55-year-old hip-hop mogul as a “swinger” and drug abuser, albeit not guilty of the severe charges.

Lead defense attorney Marc Agnifilo asserted that while Combs engaged in certain behaviors, he did not commit the crimes he is accused of, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Agnifilo challenged the prosecution’s narrative, dismissing claims of “freak offs” and pushing back against allegations that Combs used power, violence, and fear to conceal crimes.

The defense also attacked the testimony of former girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who accused Combs of abuse and coercion, labeling their decade-long relationship as “complicated” but a “great modern love story.” Judge Arun Subramanian is scheduled to provide jury instructions on Monday, after which the 12-member panel will begin deliberations that could determine if Combs faces life in prison.
