Legendary Canadian rock icons Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are set to reunite as Rush for a highly anticipated “Fifty Something” headline tour in 2026, marking their return to the stage over a decade since their last full tour. The monumental announcement, made at a private event in Cleveland this past Sunday, confirms that acclaimed German composer and producer Anika Nilles will join the band on drums, following the passing of Neil Peart in 2020.

The 2026 tour, described as a celebration of Rush’s enduring music, legacy, and the life of their late drummer and lyricist, will kick off with two nights at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on June 7 and 9. The itinerary includes stops in Mexico City, Fort Worth, Chicago, New York, and Toronto, culminating in a single concert in Cleveland on September 17. This tour holds particular poignancy as Rush’s final show in 2015 was also at the Kia Forum.

Lee and Lifeson shared that the decision to tour again was a “very difficult decision” but was born from their shared joy in jamming on Rush songs privately. They received the blessing of Neil Peart’s widow, Carrie Nuttall-Peart, and daughter, Olivia, who expressed excitement for the band’s new chapter. Nilles, who previously toured with Jeff Beck, was brought in for an “experiment” and quickly clicked with the duo, proving her ability to navigate Rush’s complex musical nuances.

Fans eager to secure their spots can participate in the Rush artist presale by signing up before this Thursday, October 9, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Artist presales begin on October 13 at noon local time in the U.S. and Canada, and October 16 at noon local time in Mexico. General onsale ticketing will commence on October 17 at noon local time for the U.S. and Canada, and 11 a.m. local time for the Mexico dates.
