Miguel Angel Garcia-Hernandez, 32, has tragically died from injuries sustained in a sniper-style shooting at a Dallas ICE facility on September 24. Garcia-Hernandez, who was shot at least eight times, is the second victim to succumb following the attack, according to the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC).

His wife, Stephany Gauffeny, shared her profound grief, stating, “My husband Miguel was a good man, a loving father, and the provider for our family. His death is a senseless tragedy that has left our family shattered.” Garcia-Hernandez leaves behind his wife, who is expecting their fifth child, and four young children. The family had recently purchased their first home, and a GoFundMe page highlights his role as the sole provider.

Meanwhile, the third victim, Jose Andres Bordones-Molina, has been released from the hospital. The Dallas ICE field office, which serves as a temporary holding facility, is slated to reopen with heightened security measures.
