Moldova’s Pro-EU Party Secures Decisive Parliamentary Majority, Defying Russian Influence

CHISINAU, Moldova – The pro-Western governing party in Moldova has secured a commanding parliamentary majority following a pivotal weekend election, dealing a significant blow to pro-Russian factions. With nearly all polling station reports tallied on Monday, the pro-EU Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) garnered 50.1% of the vote, ensuring they will hold approximately 55 out of 101 seats in the legislature.
