TPUSA Sees Major Donor Surge Post-Charlie Kirk Assassination, 2024 Fundraising Doubles

Turning Point USA (TPUSA) has experienced a significant increase in financial backing from prominent donors and allies of former President Trump following the assassination of its founder, Charlie Kirk. Analysts, according to The Guardian, believe this surge in support will solidify the group’s influence within the American conservative movement.
Among the key pledges, Lynn Friess, widow of influential mega-donor Foster Friess, committed $1 million, specifically earmarked to support the establishment of new chapters across the United States.
In 2024, TPUSA more than doubled its fundraising efforts from 2020, reportedly amassing approximately $85 million. At the time of Kirk’s death, the organization boasted 900 college chapters, 1,200 high school chapters, and tens of thousands of new chapter inquiries.
Major funding sources reportedly include the Bradley Impact Fund, Donors Trust, and the Deason Foundation, although a substantial portion of TPUSA’s funding is said to flow through less transparent channels. Republican consultant Chuck Coughlin commented to The Guardian, stating, “Charlie was an extraordinary fundraiser with deep ties to President Trump and his son Don Jr. He is a big loss to them and they will be scrambling to fill that void.”
