WARSAW – Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has issued a stark warning, declaring that Poland will shoot down any enemy aircraft that violates its sovereign territory. The uncompromising stance comes in response to a series of escalating incidents involving Russian drones and warplanes entering NATO airspace.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Tusk emphasized the gravity of the situation. “I want to be very clear. We will make a decision to shoot down flying objects without discussion when they violate our territory and fly over Poland. There is no room for debate here,” he stated.

The Prime Minister’s comments follow recent incursions, including incidents where Russian aircraft entered the airspace of Poland and Romania. Most notably, last Friday, three Russian MiG-31 jets reportedly remained in Estonian airspace for nearly 12 minutes before NATO scrambled its jets in response, highlighting the growing tensions along the alliance’s eastern flank.
