Samsung Kicks Off Android 16 (One UI 8) Rollout for Galaxy Devices

Samsung has officially commenced the stable rollout of its highly anticipated Android 16 update, featuring One UI 8, to a range of Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The rollout began on September 15, 2025, bringing new features and refinements to eligible devices, with a comprehensive schedule extending through November.
While Android 16 introduces significant design changes on Pixel devices, Samsung’s One UI 8 focuses more on functional enhancements and refinements, building upon the recent One UI 7 overhaul. Key improvements include an enhanced privacy dashboard, improved multitasking capabilities, and new camera features, promising a more streamlined user experience.
Currently, the update is actively rolling out to the entire Galaxy S25 series globally, including the S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge, and the S25 FE, which ships with One UI 8 pre-installed. New foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, also come with Android 16 out of the box. For tablets, the new Galaxy Tab S11 series, including the Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra, are receiving the update immediately.
Samsung has outlined a phased rollout, with numerous other Galaxy smartphones and tablets slated to receive Android 16 in the coming months. Users of older flagship devices, including the Galaxy S24, S23, and S22 series, along with various Galaxy A series phones and additional foldables and tablets, can expect their updates to arrive throughout October and November 2025. Samsung is expected to provide a more detailed schedule as the rollout progresses.
