British Aristocrat, Partner Jailed 14 Years for Newborn Daughter’s Manslaughter

British aristocrat Constance Marten and her boyfriend Mark Gordon have been sentenced to 14 years in prison for the gross negligence manslaughter of their newborn daughter, Victoria. Victoria’s decomposed body was later found in a shopping bag in a Brighton garden shed, concluding a seven-week search.

Detective Superintendent Lewis Basford expressed difficulty comprehending how the parents chose to live in freezing conditions to evade authorities, rather than providing care for their child.
