Popular singer D4vd is actively cooperating with authorities following the discovery of human remains in a car registered to him. The Tesla, impounded last week at a Hollywood tow yard, became the focus of a homicide investigation after employees reported a foul odor emanating from the vehicle.

Police confirmed that a dismembered body, believed to be a woman, was found inside a bag in the front trunk of the 2023 Tesla. The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office described the victim as approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall with black wavy hair and a distinctive “Shhhh” tattoo on her finger. Officials have not yet identified the remains.

Despite the unfolding investigation, D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, continued his North American ‘Withered’ world tour. A spokesperson for the platinum-selling artist confirmed his full cooperation with law enforcement, even as he performed in Minneapolis on Tuesday evening, just hours after news of the incident broke. He is scheduled to perform in Kansas City, Mo., on Wednesday evening.

The black Tesla, bearing Texas license plates, was towed after being found abandoned five days prior in the Hollywood Hills. Investigators are treating the case as a homicide, though the cause of death has not been released.

In a separate, unrelated incident, a second body was found in a different tow yard in South Los Angeles. Authorities do not believe the two cases are connected.
