Just days following its highly anticipated release, Hollow Knight: Silksong is rolling out its inaugural major update, version 1.0.28470, slated to arrive soon on both Nintendo Switch and the new Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. This critical patch aims to refine the early game experience and resolve several issues reported by players.

Among the most significant adjustments, developer Team Cherry has implemented a slight difficulty reduction for early game bosses, specifically Moorwing and Sister Splinter, in response to initial player feedback. Damage output from Sandcarvers has also been toned down, and players will notice a slight increase in rosary rewards from relics, psalm cylinders, and courier deliveries, alongside a reduction in mid-game Bellway and Bell Bench prices.

The update also brings a comprehensive list of bug fixes. These include resolving instances where players could remain cloakless after certain sequences, ensuring the completability of quests like ‘wish Infestation Operation’ and ‘Beast in the Bells,’ and fixing various glitches such as getting stuck floating or issues with courier deliveries in Act 3. Other improvements address craft bind behavior, Lace tool deflect soft-locks, and Snitch Pick not dispensing intended rewards. This swift response from Team Cherry underscores their commitment to delivering a polished experience for the legions of Hollow Knight fans.
