A dramatic confrontation between former Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and former Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte, key figures in the Trump administration, has come to light, detailing a profanity-laced tirade over policy disagreements and influence with then-President Donald Trump.

According to reports, the heated exchange occurred at a private dinner event attended by numerous administration officials. Bessent reportedly threatened Pulte, accusing him of badmouthing him to President Trump. The dispute escalated with Bessent allegedly stating, “I’m gonna punch you in your f—ing face” and challenging Pulte to a fight, before being separated by club co-owner Omeed Malik.

The feud reportedly stemmed from disagreements over an initiative to privatize Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, a plan Trump announced in May, tasking Bessent and Pulte, along with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, to lead. Insiders indicated that Bessent and Pulte had sparred over this and other economic matters as Pulte took a more prominent role.

This incident was not an isolated one for Bessent, who reportedly had a separate outburst against tech billionaire Elon Musk earlier, related to the appointment of the IRS head. The reported clashes highlight the intense internal dynamics and power struggles that characterized the Trump administration.
