Former President Donald Trump and music icon Bruce Springsteen were both in attendance at the U.S. Open men’s finals in New York City on Sunday, marking a notable public appearance for the two figures amidst their escalating public feud.

Trump’s arrival at Arthur Ashe Stadium was met with significant boos from the crowd, and his presence in the Rolex box reportedly caused a nearly 30-minute delay to the match between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner due to heightened security measures and traffic disruptions. The venue remained less than half full as additional screenings were conducted.

Later, cameras spotted Springsteen in a celebrity-filled section, joined by Sting and Ben Stiller, among others. The unexpected proximity of the two adversaries comes after a summer of public sparring, which saw Springsteen vehemently criticize Trump during his 2025 European tour, labeling his administration as “corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous.”

Trump had retaliated sharply on Truth Social, calling Springsteen “dumb as a rock” and a “dried out ‘prune’ of a rocker,” even suggesting a “major investigation” into alleged illegal campaign contributions related to celebrity endorsements. The music community, including Neil Young and Pearl Jam, has since rallied in support of Springsteen.
